When I heard about the ExpressionEngine/CodeIgniter (EECI) conference back in July I knew I had to go. A multi-day conference where some of the best minds in the ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter communities get together and talk shop can only be awesome.

Give Me Structure, Or Give Me Death!
A few years ago a fellow ExpressionEngine developer suggested, or rather insisted, that I check out the Structure module. He was convinced it was the best thing since sliced bread and couldn’t believe I hadn’t added it to my development process.

There has been a lot of talk in the EE community about utilising Disqus for handling comments on your site. Even the Ellislab Blog decided to forgo standard EE comments for Disqus.
Review of Mountee, Template Editing on a Mounted Drive
When I first heard of Mountee, I was already a user of templates as files, which could be mounted on my hard drive via my FTP program. At first glance it appeared that Mountee offered nothing new. After trying it on a site a little while ago, it is now my default method of template creation and editing.

Review of Solspace’s Tag Module
One of the oldest addons for ExpressionEngine, and the only one to be sold directly from expressionengine.com, the Tag Module is a founding father of EE addons. At $40, it's not cheap, but in many situations, totally worth it.
